Dana writes YA fiction, freelances editorial work, holds a MA in English & Creative Writing, and considers herself a classified nerd. She knows every line to the Star Wars films (episodes IV, V, and VI) and would rewatch every episode of Game of Thrones infinite times over. Currently, she is most inspired by her author peers, her students, and a long list of BIPOC authors who showed her that writing belongs to us all.

It is important to Dana that she represents and stands for authenticity in all her work. As a queer AAPI author, teacher, collaborator, and lifelong learner, nothing is more valuable to her than bringing kindness, inclusion, and minority representation to all of her personal and professional endeavors. These values are reflected in her writing, her communication, and her work ethic.

1. She has an identical twin sister.

2. She is the child of immigrants - mom from Korea and dad from England.
